Running for Local Office

Residents who wish to run for office in Fremont Township should contact the Fremont Township or Saginaw County Clerk's office to confirm they understand the steps necessary to become a candidate, and the type of campaign they wish to conduct (Traditional or Write-In).  Guidance can be found on the Saginaw County Website at https://www.saginawcounty.com/departments/county-clerk/elections/running-for-office/ . 

It is very important that all potential candidates complete their filing activities by deadlines established for each office.  These deadlines are published by the State of Michigan and can be found at https://www.michigan.gov/sos/elections/ballot-access/deadlines.
